New Media and Technology
Digital Art Center in memory of Juan Downey calls for Artist In Residence in New Media and Digital Arts, specially formulated for artists working with digital media, digital arts and technology. National and international artists in different stages of development are invited to participate; except for residents of the Region of Los Lagos, Chile
This residence offers time and space to research and produce work for 12 days in Puerto Varas; culminating in an activity in CAD Gallery. Artists have 24 hour access to a private studio located in Puerto Varas Train station; in addition to a private room, food and an artist talk with the community. Transport, materials and other expenses they are not included. CADJD extends an invitation to be necessary selected to be used for application to external financing.
This residence is focused on projects of new media, including video art, sound art, digital engraving, 3D animation, interactive media, programming, digital communities, digital painting, software, apps, interactive media, code, interconnected projects, sculptures www, projects self-generative, performance and radio-image, or other new media technique.

Methodology
During the Residence New Media and Digital Art, the artist occupies a private study, with 24 hours a day access, WIFI and dependencies. The resident artists are invited to use new media and technologies to develop experimental work; next to the natural location in Puerto Varas; The residence has a duration of 12 days, ending with an open studio event, exhibition or talk with the community.
Travel to Puerto Varas
Artists in residence can travel to Puerto Varas by bus or plane. Tepual Airport is located 40 minutes from Puerto Varas, offers daily flights from Santiago. There is also daily buses to Puerto Varas.
Financing
Includes housing, utilities, food (half board) and private study. Artists are responsible for pay, transportation, materials and incidentals. It is suggested apply for external funding opportunities as open window of the CNCA, among others. A letter of invitation will be extended to selected WIFI.;
Artist Studio
Artists residents have 24hour access to a private study with Located in Center for Digital Art in Memory of Juan Downey in Train Station Puerto Varas, Klenner s / n, Unit 1, Puerto Varas 5550000, Chile.
Accommodation and Food
The residence includes accommodation in private room a few blocks from study , utilities and food (Lunch or dinner).
Selection Committee
Applications to Residence in New Media and Digital Art Digital Arts Center in memory of Juan Downey will be reviewed by a curatorial committee composed of four cultural agents, their names will be revealed once published the results. Any circumstance outside the rules will be resolved by the selection committee and its decision is final.
